Kings XI Punjab batsman Chris Gayle has been fined. Gayle had angrily thrown his bat into the ground after missing a century in the match against Rajasthan Royals. Gayle was one run away from his century in Abu Dhabi in the 50th match of IPL 2020 when he was bowled by Jofra Archer. Despite being in good form, Gayle lost his cool due to not being able to score a century. He hit him on the ground to vent his anger on the bat but he got away from his hand and fell away.
Everyone was surprised to see Gail's attitude, though he soon calmed down and returned to the pavilion with a bat from Archer. But this act of Gayle has been found guilty of breaking the IPL code of conduct. Gayle has been fined 10 percent of his match fees. However, the IPL committee has not clearly stated the incident for which Gail has been fined, but it is understood that he has been given this punishment for throwing an angry bat. Gayle confesses her mistake.
